Tri Pointe Homes has earned a reputation as one of the most design-forward builders in the national homebuilding industry. It was founded in April 2009 as a Southern California homebuilder, according to its 2020 annual report. On May 14, 2026, Sumitomo Forestry completed its purchase of Tri Pointe for $47.00 a share, so Tri Pointe is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Forestry America and no longer trades on the New York Stock Exchange; at closing it had more than 160 active communities in 13 states (completion announcement filed with the SEC). It still sells homes under the Tri Pointe Homes name.
In Las Vegas, Tri Pointe sold homes as Pardee Homes until January 2021, when it consolidated its six regional brands under the single Tri Pointe Homes name, effective January 15, 2021 (Tri Pointe announcement, January 19, 2021).
As of October 10, 2026, Tri Pointe's Las Vegas page listed 16 communities in four parts of the valley, 14 of them now selling. In Summerlin: Vertex in Redpoint Square; Aberdeen Collections I and II, Carlisle Peak and Carlisle Ridge in Grand Park; Edgewood; and Agave Ridge in La Madre Peaks, which was forming a priority group rather than selling homes (village names from Summerlin's home search). At Lake Las Vegas in Henderson: La Cova and Lakeview Ridge. In the northwest valley near Skye Canyon: Crestview, Citrine, and Alder, Alpine Ridge and Arrow Peak at Kyle Pointe. In the southwest valley: Southridge Pointe. Highview at Inspirada in Henderson was listed as sold out.
Tri Pointe's design philosophy emphasizes what they call 'LivingSmart' — homes engineered for energy efficiency, wellness, and everyday functionality. Their floor plans incorporate flex spaces, strategic storage, and room configurations that adapt to how people actually use their homes. In Las Vegas, their homes feature the desert contemporary aesthetic with clean lines, neutral palettes, and indoor-outdoor living connections that take advantage of Nevada's climate.
Published starting prices on Tri Pointe's Las Vegas page ran from the $300,000s at Crestview to $1 million-plus at La Cova, Carlisle Peak and Carlisle Ridge on October 10, 2026. Nevada Real Estate Group agents can compare Tri Pointe's included features and current incentives against competing builders in the same area. Tri Pointe's terms on that page say an agent must register a client in person on the client's first visit to each community for the agent to receive a commission or referral fee, if one is available, so register with us before you tour; we confirm in writing whether Tri Pointe pays our compensation.
Nevada Real Estate Group (License S.181401, verifiable at red.nv.gov) represents buyers in Tri Pointe Homes transactions. How buyer-agent compensation is handled varies by builder and contract, so confirm it in writing with the builder’s sales office before you sign.
