Lake Tahoe, Nevada Elementary Schools

There are two elementary schools on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. 

Incline Elementary School

Incline Elementary School is located in the heart of Incline Village and serves the whole community.

Incline Elementary is in the Washoe County School District and offers grades PK-5th grade with an average student population of 283 students.

There is an average student-to-teacher ratio of around 14 students per classroom. Parents appreciate the smaller classroom sizes as their children will have to ability to absorb more information without being left behind. 

Zephyr Cove Elementary School

Zephyr Cove Elementary School is located on the southeastern side of Lake Tahoe, NV, and serves the whole community of Zephyr Cove and Lakeridge.

This elementary school is located in the Douglas County School District and offers grades PK-5th grade.

154 students attend the Zephyr Cove Elementary school, and the student-to-teacher ratio is around 13 children per classroom which make for an intimate learning environment where no student is left behind due to the huge class size.

Every student has the opportunity to connect and learn directly from their teachers. 

Lake Tahoe Middle Schools

There is one middle school located on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe and it is in Incline Village.

Incline Middle School

Incline Middle School is considered to be in Washoe County School District and is located right down the street from Incline Elementary School.

Incline Middle School offers grades 6th - 8th and has an average student population of 170. The average student-to-teacher ratio at this school is around 7 students per classroom.

Therefore this is a small school where children develop great relationships with their teachers and don’t struggle to keep up with the rest of their classmates. 

Lake Tahoe High Schools

There are two high schools on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe.

George Whittell High School

George Whittell High School is located just outside the town of Zephyr Cove and it is part of the Douglas County School District.

This high school is more like a hybrid of middle and high school since the area has a low population. Therefore George Whittell High School offers grades 6th through 12th and has an average student-to-teacher ratio of around 4 students per classroom.

The total student population here is around 107. This means that classrooms and learning environments are almost one on one, and no student gets left behind. 

Incline High School

Incline High School is located just down the street from the elementary and middle schools in Incline Village.

It is part of the Washoe County School District and has an average student-to-teacher ratio of around 8 students per classroom.

There are approximately 347 students that attend Incline High School, and they offer grades 9th- to 12th.

Students love having the ability to learn in a close-knit environment where each of them has a relationship with their instructors and has the ability to ask questions without being forgotten. 

Lake Tahoe Private Schools

There are several private schools on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, but here are two of the reported best private schools in Lake Tahoe, NV.

Lake Tahoe School

Lake Tahoe School is a private school located in the heart of Incline Village.

They offer grades PK-8th and have an average student population of 106 students. The average classroom size at this private school is around 8 students.

There is tuition to attend this school. For grades PK-4th the annual tuition is $26,700 and for grades 5th through 8th the tuition is $28,100.

I-School

I-School is also located in Incline Village and is a private school.

This school is in session year-round and offers grades K-12th. There is tuition to attend this school, but it is different than other private schools.

Here the tuition is based on how many courses students take. Each course can range in price from $200 for a PE class up to $590 for AP courses. T

Therefore the tuition and academic course load are determined by the parents and the student.
