Grand View Terrace falls under the jurisdiction of the Washoe County School District. Home to over 64,000 students in the Reno-Sparks area, WCSD is the second-largest school board in Nevada (beat only by the Las Vegas school district, Clark County School District, which provides education to over 320,000 students). WCSD comprises 96 elementary, middle, and high schools.
Lemmon Valley Elementary School is located on West Patrician Drive, approximately 3.1 miles from Grand View Terrace. Lemmon Valley consists of over 620 students ranging from pre-kindergarten through the 5th grade.
William O'Brien Middle School houses about 810 middle school students in the 6th to 8th grades. Located on Stead Boulevard, O'Brien is 2.3 miles west of the Grand View Terrace neighborhood.
North Valley High School can be found on Golden Valley Road, approximately 2.7 miles east of Grand View Terrace. This large secondary school is home to over 2,030 students in the 9th through 12th grades.
